Welcome to The Wormhole and my stop on the tour.
It is my pleasure to feature:
Stephanie Feagan and Out of Control.

Stephanie has joined us for an interview:
* When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
When I was 16 and discovered romance novels. I never looked back.

* How many jobs did you have before you became a writer?
None, really, because I started writing when I was 16, but I didn’t get serious about it until many years later. I worked in retail – clothing and a greenhouse nursery – worked for a daycare, was a camp counselor, college campus cop, bank teller, Christmas tree salesperson/decorator, department store gift wrapper, bookkeeper, CPA, mom, and wife. Then I became serious about pursuing publication.

* What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
I write better with flowers. I buy a bunch of roses at the grocery store once a week. If the roses are bad and I have to buy some other kind, or worse, don’t have any flowers at all, my writing suffers.

* Where do you get your ideas or inspiration for your characters?
Several secondary characters in various books are based on my family members. We have some real interesting folks in our gene pool!

* How do you decide what you want to write about?
I have no idea. It always starts with a tiny thought, What if--? And it grows. Sometimes, I dream characters and plots.

* What books have most influenced your life?
Jane Eyre. It’s the ultimate romance, and one I reread every five years or so.

* What are you reading right now?
Nothing at the moment. I just finished a manuscript, so I’m still in the hangover stage, unable to read anything until I lose the fog. I’m anxious to start Lorraine Heath’s latest, which is patiently waiting for me on my Nook.

* What do you like to do when you are not writing?
Read, cook, and rewatch old rom-coms, like Moonstruck and You’ve Got Mail.

* What is your favorite comfort food?
My mama’s chicken and dumplings. They are sublime!

* What do you think makes a good story?
A character who faces tremendous odds, who it appears will fail, who I can root for and be scared for and fall in love right along with them.

* Who would you consider your favorite author and why?
My favorite is usually whomever’s book I just read. I’m a total book junkie and it’s very hard for me to not like a book – any book.

More about Stephanie:
Author of the RITA winning Pink Files series, Stephanie Feagan has had a love affair with romance novels since she was eleven and discovered there are kissing scenes in Victoria Holt books. She spent a lot of time in her closet with a flashlight, reading as fast as possible to get to the end, only to start a new book and begin the whole Leave-Me-Alone-I’m-Reading cycle all over again. She still stays up until the wee hours to finish books, now courtesy of a lighted e-reader which she believes is mankind’s greatest invention ever.
Stephanie also writes Young Adult and New Adult paranormal romance as Trinity Faegen. A practicing CPA who loves travel, books, new pencils, old keys, and smart guys, she lives in the oilfields of west Texas with her engineer husband and a mean cat. She’d love to hear from you. She answers to Stephanie, Trinity, Hey Lady, and Mom, and can be reached at Stephanie@StephanieFeagan.com or Trinity@TrinityFaegen.com
She’s aware the similarity between her pseudonym, Faegen, and her real name, Feagan, confuses pretty much everyone, herself included. Since so many mispronounce Feagan as FEEgan instead of FAYgan, she thought she’d mix it up when she took a pseudonym and make it easier on people. Now people say FayEEgen, and spell it wrong. Next time she takes a pen name, she’s totally going with Smith or Jones.

My thoughts:
This was my first Stephanie Feagan read - and I LOVED it!  Found myself lost in the book from the first page.  I lost all track of time as I turned the pages of this fast-paced, action-packed, suspenseful romance.
The characters are robust and engaging.  The storyline is original, interesting and entertaining.  The plot is mysterious and thoughtfully created.  The romance is both hot and sweet.
I found myself occasionally laughing out loud as well as smiling and sighing because the characters are so great.
Well worth the read.
