I am a WINNER! (at least this once)

I am finally a winner - if only for this one moment. I am pleased to say that I have won first prize, which is my choice of book (up to $25 on amazon.com), in a contest from Bookworming in the 21st Century called 600+ follower contest.

I rarely win anything, although I do love to occasionally "donate" at the casino, so I was very excited to find that I did actually win. I thought that choosing my prize would be easy, my wish list on amazon is pages long...but choosing just one - - which one.... so I finally decided that I would choose a book from an author that I love to read, but isn't YA, Tami Hoag . The book is Deeper than the Dead.

I seem to readily buy books that I can share with the students, but seem to wait to buy books just for me. This was a great way for me to be selfish and choose something for just one person. Thanks so much Kristen!

Waiting On Wednesday: Black Magic Sanction

"Waiting On" Wednesday: This is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I have piles of books, which I am sure everyone who reads this blog does too, and I laugh at myself when I realize that I am eagerly checking out not only "Waiting On"Wednesday, but the "Teaser Tuesdays" too! As if I need more book ideas to add to my stacks.

I am "Waiting On" the latest in the Rachel Morgan books by Kim Harrison. It is called Black Magic Sanction. She is having a book signing in the Twin Cities on March 1, 2010 and I will be going to that, so I know I will only be waiting until then!
